Solution
DataSOS designed a fully automated civil court data pipeline tailored to the patchwork reality of US county court systems. Rather than attempting a single universal scraper, each county portal received a dedicated extraction module accounting for its specific HTML structure, session handling requirements, and document format.
- Dedicated county-specific scrapers were built for each of the 30+ target jurisdictions, handling session-based logins, search form submissions, paginated result sets, and both HTML and PDF document formats.
- A PDF parsing layer using OCR and structured extraction converted scanned and digital court documents into machine-readable records capturing case numbers, party names, filing dates, case types, and court locations with high accuracy.
